For a Lakota person, who has fought in battle using the western society warfare system, to return to health would mean to return to the Lakota way of doing things. This could be accomplished with the help of ceremonies. The Lakota way of doing things had worked for us Lakotas for thousands and thousands of years, and when a Lakota attempts to live under a system which is not Lakota is like starving him/her-self.
