Unjustly charged
A friend of mine has a domain dedicated to fight against a felony charge against her high-school age son. The young man wrote a bit of fiction with a dark and violent theme, and somehow this led to charges under a new post-Columbine law in Oklahoma. There is no evidence that he was planning to enact the actions depicted in his writing, or that he had any propensity for actual violence. The media soon became involved, and the case is expected to go to trial this autumn.
