Frabjous Times

Sing to the Mountains was a late scratch as the Recessional, with a substitution of the Prayer of St. Francis which had been designated for Offertory. It is apparent that however well-laid the plans for the month without our regular director, we're going to be engaging in some level of negotiation on the repertory anyway.
This week, I discharged my designated responsibility by singing the Alleluia once again, plus when it became clear in our rehearsal that the meter of the Communion hymn was not something we could do without some kind of song leader, I got up and gave it my best shot as cohesive force. All I can say is that I think it would have been worse without a volunteer leader at that point. What helped even more was having all four vocal parts participating this week.
